One of the many goals of The Black Girl Project is to help give voice to young women. With that, we created Confab, which will be an all-girl art and literature journal. We’ve put out a “soft” call for submissions, but will be be posting about it again soon. When thinking about Confab, we knew we needed someone strong, smart, and very “together” to lead it. We also knew that she would have to be in touch with young folks, so who better than Courtney!

Courtney is a rising senior at The City College of New York where she majors in English (Creative Writing) and Publishing, with minor in Journalism. She currently has a high-falutin’ internship with a major publishing house in New York and is the most voracious reader I know.
