Last week, we posted 15 tips over 3 days on Twitter on boosting your self esteem. We had such a great response, we figured it would be great to have them in a single blog posting. Here they are:

Tip 1: Focus on your strengths and positive qualities and find ways to bolster them.

Tip 2: Be yourself and don’t compare yourself with others.

Tip 3: Learn to be resilient and bounce back after disappointments.

Tip 4: Don’t dwell on mistakes or limitations.

Tip 5: Accept your mistakes, learn from them and move on with your life.

Tip 6: Use affirmations and visualizations to replace negative thoughts and images.

Tip 7: Take responsibility for your life, realize you have the power to do and be whatever you want.

Tip 8: You can’t control other folks’ behavior, but you have control over your actions, thoughts and words. Exercise it!

Tip 9: Learn skills that give you opportunities and confidence in your abilities.

Tip 10: It’s not enough to feel good about yourself; you must also be able to show that you are competent, reliable and honest.

Tip 11: The more skills and positive qualities you acquire, the more competent and confident you will feel.

Tip 12: Focus on giving, not receiving.

Tip 13: Make others feel valued and appreciated.

Tip 14: As you continue to make positive choices and contribute to the world, your self esteem will increase. It’s a journey!

Tip 15: Create a support system. Surround yourself w/confident folks who feel good about themselves and make you feel good too.
